Patrick Boyle

Patrick Boyle Joins the Office of Research Partnerships, Division of Research.

I am extremely pleased to announce that Patrick Boyle has joined the Office of Research Partnerships as Associate Director, Research Partnerships for Health and Medical Sciences, and Bioinformatics.

Patrick is a global sales, marketing & solutions development leader with in depth experience in the healthcare and life sciences industries and the application of software, services and cloud computing.

His 20+ years of proven capability building new businesses, driving revenue growth, leading transformation, solution development and innovation, and improving client loyalty uniquely qualifies him for this important role at UNC Charlotte.

Additionally, his strong track record of intrapreneurship, emerging markets development and growth in diverse organizations from startups to multi $B corporations will enable him to successfully create and sustain industry partnerships for the university.

His past companies include Cedar, Andros, Athena Health, Deloitte Consulting, and IBM. Patrick has an MBA from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is an avid volunteer in the Charlotte and Cabarrus County region.

For the past three years, Patrick has volunteered as a mentor in the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation program. Through that experience he learned much about the University’s keen interest in developing partnerships with the business community to advance both the goals of the university, and to support the continued economic development of the Charlotte region.

Patrick is deeply passionate about the transformation of healthcare and brings the energy, skills and industry contacts to help establish university-industry partnerships in the region and state.
